1958 to 1961- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Karnataka
Polytechnic Mangalore.
1965- Left for Kuwait and joined the Ministry
of Electricity and Water
1973: Joined The American Life Insurance Company
(AIG) and is still working for the same company.
From 1973 to Date has won almost every type
of Award in Life Insurance Sales and Service. A top award
worth mentioning is the International Quality Award for 13
Consecutive Years. Qualifies for The Million Dollar Round
Table (MDRT) almost every Year.
Has qualified for and attended at least 20
International Conventions, Conferences and Meetings which
are held all over the world. Some as far away as Rio De Janeiro.
The
Mother of all awards: Inducted into The Gallery of
Stars - The highest Award a Field agent can get. Conferred
upon at The Waldorf Astoria Hotel New York, in 1999. Has his
Oil Portrait displayed in the Head Office of The American
Life Insurance Co.(AIG), Wilmington, Delaware USA. The only
Indian National in the World to get this award to date.
In 1983, Started The Aubrey D' Souza Charitable
Foundation in Mangalore out of his own funds. The Charities
are mostly channelled towards Education, Donating computer,
tailoring, and other hands-on-type education centres, Medical
Treatment and General Assistance.
In
1985 Donated the Computer centre to St. Aloysius College,
Mangalore.
The Foundation started with a modest budget
of Rs, 25,000 Per Annum, and this year has unusually reached
a whopping Rs. 18 lakhs!!! The normal budget is around Rs.
10 Lakhs per annum.
2002 - In response to Rev. Fr Denzil Lobo
and Ravi Santhosh Kamath's visit to Dubai, seeking donations
towards the IT and Science Blocks, has donated a classroom
costing Rs. 5 Lakhs |
