1.
Reservation
The
University provides reservation of seats for seats for Scheduled Castes;
Schedule Tribes. Other Backward Classes, Wards pf paramilitary Forces,
Wards of Defense Personnel and Physically Handicapped learners, as per
the Government of India rules, for various progrmmes of the University.
2.
Scholarships and Reimbursement of Fee
Reserved
Categories, viz. Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes
and Physically Handicapped learners have to pay the fee at the time of
admission to the University along with other general category candidates.
Physically
Handicapped learners admitted to IGNOU are eligible for Government of
India scholarships. They are advised to collect scholarship form the respective
State Government Directorate of Social Welfare or Office of the Social
Welfare Officer and submit the filled-in forms to them through the concerned
Regional Director of INGOU.
Similarly,
SC/ST, Other Backward Classes learners have to collect and subsequently
submit their scholarship form to the respective State's Directorate of
Social Welfare or Office of the Social Welfare Officer, through the concerned
Regional Director of IGNOU for reimbursement of programme fee.
Scholarship
scheme of National Center for Promotion of Employment of Disabled People
(NCPEDP) for Post Graduate level programme is applicable to the student
of this University also. Such students are advised to apply to awarding
authority.
3.
Change of Elective/Course
Change
in Elective/Course is permitted on payment of Rs. 150/- for 4 credit course
and Rs. 300/- for 8 credit course by a Demand Draft drawn in favour of
IGNOU payable at New Delhi. The change is permitted only if the request
along with the required payment is received by 15th February in case of
January session and 16th August in case of July session. The request for
the change of Elective/Course should be addressed to Director, SR&E
Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110 068.
4.
Change of Medium
Change
of Medium is permitted on payment of Rs. 100/- by a Demand Draft drawn
in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi, if the request is received by
15th February in case of admissions done for January session and 16th
August in case of admissions done for July session. The student to required
to return the study material already received to Dy. Director (MPDD) by
registered post or in person along with the request for change of medium.
The request for change of medium should be addressed to Director, SR&E
Division, IGNOU, Maidan, New Delhi-110068
5.
Change of programme
Change
of programme from B.A. to B.Com/B.T.S or B.A/B.T.S or B.Sc. to B.A/B.Com,
is permitted only in the first year of study on payment of Rs. 300/- by
way of Demand Draft if the request is received by 15th February in case
of admission done for January session and 16th August in case of admission
done for July session. For change of programme from B.A./B.Com, to BTS,
the student will be required to pay the difference of fee in admission
to Rs. 300/- seated above. The student is required to return the study
material already received toDy. Director (MPDD) by registered Post or
in person along with SR&E Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110
068. No change is permitted from B.A./B.Com. to B.Sc. programme or among
any other programmes.
6.
Change/Correction of Address and Study Centers
There
is a printed card for change/correction of address and change of Study
Center which is dispatched along with the study material. In case there
is any correction/change in the address, the learners are advised to make
use of proforma provided in the Programme Guide and address it to SR&E
Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110 068. They are advised
not to write the letters to any other officer in the University in this
regard. Normally, it takes 4-6 weeks to effect the change. Therefore,
the learners are advised make their own arrangement to redirect the mail
to the changed address during this period. In case a change of Study
Center is desired, the learners are advised to fill the proforma and address
it to the Regional Center concerned. Counselling facilities are not available
for all Programmes at all the centers. As such, learners are advised to
make sure that counselling facilities are available, for the subject he/she
has chosen, at the new center opted for. Request for change of Study Center
normally granted subject to availability of seats for the programme at
the new center asked for. Change of Address and Study Center is not permitted
is not permitted until admission are finished. There is no provision of
change of Programme Study Center for PGDMCH Programme in any Region. Even
if one is in Central Government Service and transferred, he/she will have
to complete the PSC activities at the allotted PSC. But the SDC allotment
can be changed and nearest SDC allotted. Similarly, change of study
center is not permissible in programmes where practical components are
involved. For CIC/BCA/MCA students of Delhi Region, Study Centers
will be allotted as per availability of seats therefore study center once
allotted will not be changed.
7.
Change of Region
When
a learner wants transfer from one region to another, he/she has to write
to that effect to the Regional Center from where he/she is seeking a transfer
marking copies to the Regional Center where he/she would like to be transferred
to. Further, he/she has to obtain a certificate from the Coordinator of
the Study Center from where he/she is seeking transfer from regarding
the number of assignment submitted. The Regional Director from where the
learner is seeking the transfer will transfer all records including details
of fee payment to the Regional Center where the learner is going to under
intimation to the Director, SR&E Division and the learner. For the
change of Region in Computer Programmes, NOC is to be obtained from the
concerned Regional Center where the learner wishes his/her transfer. No
transfer is permitted from other regions to Delhi for MCA, BCA, CIC, and
B.Sc.No transfer of Programme Study Center is allowed for PGDMCH, PGDHHM
& B.Sc(N). Programmes.
