St Aloysius Institute of Management & Information Technology( AIMIT, formerly known as AIBA) , St Aloysius College ( AUTONOMOUS), is offering the two years MBA programme affiliated to Mangalore University and approved by AICTE, Delhi.

St Aloysius College has been running the PGDBA programme affiliated to Mangalore University since 1980, and has trained over a thousand entrepreneurs. The College has also been offering the MBA and MCA programme under the OPEN University scheme. IGNOU has a study Centre which was started back in 1987.

In 2004 St Aloysius College launched the full pledged MBA programme affiliated to Mangalore University with HR, Finance, Marketing and Systems as the elective subjects in the second year. Since two years the MBA programme has come under the AUTONOMOUS Scheme of St Aloysius College with updated syllabus. From next year the College intends to offer two more elective subjects, BANKING and INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS with choice-based-credit system. Keeping in mind the needs of the Industry, the course is made very practical imparting all the skills an executive needs to function in the Industry. The academic content is supplemented by extra courses, practical seminars, discussions, workshops, assignments, and a host of other activities.Every executive needs to have a sound background in computers. The course will have extensive backing given by the Institute of Computer Sciences to equip the future executive the computers tools for their day to day functioning. The Institute has well equipped computer lab which is open from 7.30 a.m. till 11 p.m., even on Sundays and holidays.The Institute has excellent library with books, journals and magazines. Students are expected to make good use of the library facilities. The PLACEMENT CELL which is already functioning, interacts with the Industry and will find job placement to successful students. Ninety percent of our MAB graduates are placed in very good companies like NOMURA, Bank of Maharastra, UNION BANK, E&Y, AMDOCS, South India Bank, IndiaBulls, Kotak Mahendra, ICICI Bank, ICICI Prudentials,IDBI, 24/7Customer, Infosys, Symphony, Mekaster,Cambridge, HDFC and other leading banks and financial Institutions through CAMPUS PLACEMENT. This year the placement has been excellent with the avergae pay package around 3.4 lakhs.

AIBA has also planned for tie up with foreign Universities. Loyola University, Chicago, Seattle University, Seattle; University of Detroit Mercy, Detroit, have come forward to offer MS programme in Business Information Systems. Students will complete two semester work, here, in India, and proceed to the US for the completion of the course and qualify for the MS degree from some of those Universities.
